The MERCEDES-BENZ T1 Platform/Chassis (601) was produced from 1977 to 1989. This model was designed as a versatile platform, often used for utility purposes. It was popular for transporting goods and materials, thanks to its robust build and practical design. With a rear-wheel drive system, it provided reliable traction, making it suitable for various road conditions and work environments.

Under the hood, the MERCEDES-BENZ T1 featured a diesel engine, specifically the OM 616.937. This engine had a displacement of 2.4 liters, with four cylinders and two valves per cylinder.
