About the Mazda ROTARY Pickup
The MAZDA ROTARY Pickup (XP822) was built between 1974 and 1977. This pickup truck was designed for utility, making it great for carrying loads and handling work tasks. It featured a unique Wankel rotary engine, which was quite different from the typical piston engines found in most trucks of that time. This made the pickup stand out in the market.
Under the hood, the MAZDA ROTARY Pickup had a 1.3-liter engine with the engine code 13BAP. It ran on petrol and used either an intake manifold injection or a carburettor. The truck had a rear-wheel drive system and produced 116 PS or 85 kW of power. It did not have a catalytic converter, which was common for vehicles of that era. The brakes were hydraulic, and there was no ABS or ASR technology. This pickup was a practical choice for those needing a reliable work vehicle.
