About the GMC SYCLONE Standard Cab Pickup
The GMC SYCLONE Standard Cab Pickup was produced between 1990 and 1991. This pickup truck was known for its compact size and sporty performance, making it a unique choice for those who wanted a powerful yet manageable vehicle. It was designed for utility and versatility, perfect for city driving or light hauling tasks. Its all-wheel drive system provided better traction and control, making it suitable for various road conditions.
Under the hood, the GMC SYCLONE featured a 4.3-liter petrol engine with an engine code of ISBe4.5E3-185. This engine had six cylinders and two valves per cylinder, delivering a power output of 284 PS or 209 kW. The engine used an intake manifold injection system, which helped in efficient fuel delivery. However, it did not include a catalytic converter. Despite its power, the truck did not have advanced braking systems like ABS or ASR, which were common in later models. This made the SYCLONE a distinctive vehicle of its time.
