About the Chrysler D-50 Platform
The CHRYSLER D-50 Platform/Chassis was produced between 1978 and 1980. This model served as a versatile base for various vehicle types, often used for utility purposes. Its rear-wheel drive made it suitable for carrying loads or converting into different body styles. This flexibility made it popular for both city and light commercial use during its time.
Under the hood, the CHRYSLER D-50 featured a 1.6-liter petrol engine, known by the engine code 4G32. It had four cylinders and two valves per cylinder, delivering a power output of 76 PS (56 kW). The engine used either an intake manifold injection or a carburettor for fuel delivery. Notably, this model did not include a catalytic converter, which was common for vehicles of that era. Despite its basic setup, the D-50 was a reliable choice for those needing a straightforward and functional vehicle.
